§ 6. Ad Valorem Tax.

As authorized by Chapters 125, 197 and 200, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners of Lake County shall have the power within the "Lake County Municipal Service Taxing Unit for Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services" to levy and collect up to 1 mill of ad valorem tax on all taxable property therein for the purpose of providing ambulance and emergency medical services within the taxing unit. Ad Valorem taxes shall be levied and collected within the "Lake County Municipal Service Taxing Unit for Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services" in accordance with general law. The ad valorem tax provided for herein shall be in addition to County ad valorem taxes provide by law. Such tax shall be assessed, levied and collected in the same manner and at the same time as County taxes.
