§ 14-67. Purpose.

The purpose of this article is to:
(1)

Encourage fire alarm users and alarm businesses engaged in the sale, installation, customer service, or monitoring of fire alarm systems to maintain the operational reliability and the proper use of fire alarm systems by limiting unnecessary fire emergency responses to false alarms or alarm malfunctions.

(2)

Govern fire alarm systems by requesting voluntary registration, and providing for penalties for violations.

(3)

By creating a system of administration and by setting conditions for fee assessment and regulation through Lake County's Code Enforcement Special Master.
