Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 14-4. Laser beam devices.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for any person to focus, point or shine a laser beam directly or indirectly on another person in such a manner as to harass, annoy or place another person in fear of imminent physical injury. This prohibition shall specifically include, but is not limited to, the shining of a laser beam in the eyes of another person and the shining of a laser beam on the person of a law enforcement officer.
(b)
This section shall not apply to law enforcement officers in the legal performance of their official duties.
(c)
Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be punished as provided in F.S. Ch. 125.
