§ 12-36. Created; purpose.

(a)

There is hereby created a countywide library system which may be composed of municipal, nonprofit, and education-based libraries which meet minimum standards of the Board of County Commissioners and which enter into agreements with the Board of County Commissioners for operation of a countywide library system.

(b)

The purpose of the countywide library system shall be to coordinate the free circulation of library materials from participating libraries to all residents of Lake County.

(c)

The name of the countywide library system shall be the "Lake County Library System."
